From semi-raisined Muscadelle grapes, this Liqueur Tokay was partially fermented and fortified with brandy spirit. Originally Hungarian, Tokay has a delightfully smokey raisin aroma and flavour (akin to Christmas cake and/or pudding). Even though it is a dessert wine and we love to drizzzzzle it over fresh fruit, it is delightful stand alone liqueur and is a pleasure to enjoy in a tiny shot glass. |
FOOD SUGGESTIONS: Drizzzzle over a ball of rockmelon on a spoon. Chew up the rockmelon and wait for the unique toffee taste as you swallow. Excellent with warm banana or strawberries and ice cream.
